Total Solutions for Ferrous Applications
SMS Smelters Limited began operations in 2005 in the North-East region, manufacturing Industrial Grade Specialty Ferro Silicon. Together, SMS Smelters Limited, Shree Salasar Industries Pvt Ltd, and Platinum Alloys Pvt Ltd — all ISO 9001:2015 certified — form the Group's dedicated ferrous alloys arm, providing total solutions for ferrous applications.
The Group's modern manufacturing facilities and use of advanced technology in specialty alloys have set high standards for the industry.
Platinum Alloys is currently among the largest manufacturers of Ferro Silicon in India, with customers across every part of the country and export markets in South Korea, Australia, China, and Europe.

Platinum Alloys – Our Plant
Platinum Alloys Pvt Ltd operates from Tippi, Arunachal Pradesh, running two 9MVA submerged arc furnaces with an installed capacity of 15,000 MT per annum.
The furnaces and raw material feeding system were designed by RgCON, Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), commissioned in 2011, and the plant has remained in continuous operation since, delivering consistent results year after year.
The plant's pollution control system was supplied by Kleenair Systems Pvt Ltd, also commissioned in 2011 and in continuous operation.
